Description

A delightful dish featuring tender chicken pieces coated in a crispy layer and tossed in a rich, sweet-savory sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Coat the chicken pieces with cornstarch and set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and water in a separate bowl.
  5. Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and stir until well coated.
  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

Ensure the oil is hot enough before adding the chicken for a crispy texture. Adjust the sweetness of the sauce by modifying the brown sugar amount.
