Ingredients

- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 cups chopped apples
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 package pie crusts (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- Optional: powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a mixing bowl. Add chopped apples and lemon juice, tossing to coat.
- Roll out the pie crusts and cut into circles.
- Place a spoonful of the apple mixture on one half of each circle.
- Fold the other half over and crimp the edges to seal.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Arrange the hand pies in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until golden.
- Allow to cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Best served warm, can be paired with ice cream or whipped cream.
