Description

Delightful Air Fryer Apple Hand Pies filled with apples and cinnamon in a crispy, flaky pastry.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 cups chopped apples
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 package pie crusts (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a mixing bowl. Add chopped apples and lemon juice, tossing to coat.
  2. Roll out the pie crusts and cut into circles.
  3. Place a spoonful of the apple mixture on one half of each circle.
  4. Fold the other half over and crimp the edges to seal.
  5. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Arrange the hand pies in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until golden.
  8. Allow to cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Best served warm, can be paired with ice cream or whipped cream.
