Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the ground beef with salt, pepper, and half of the chopped onion. Form this mixture into patties.
  2. Heat the cooking oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Dredge each beef patty in flour, then place them in the hot skillet. Cook until browned on both sides.
  4. Remove the patties from the skillet and set them aside. In the same skillet, add the remaining onions and sauté until they are softened.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and stir, scraping up any tasty, browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  6. Return the patties to the skillet, cover, and simmer for about 20 minutes.
  7. Serve hot with gravy over rice or mashed potatoes.

Serve with traditional sides like creamy mashed potatoes or fluffy rice to soak up the savory gravy. Garnish with fresh parsley for an extra touch.
