Description

A delightful dessert combining the rich flavors of ripe bananas with a light and fluffy batter, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 45 ripe bananas, sliced into thick rounds
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine sliced bananas, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a large bowl and set aside.
  3. Mix together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients, stirring until well combined.
  5. Pour half of the batter into a greased baking dish.
  6. Spread the banana filling evenly over the batter.
  7. Pour the remaining batter on top of the banana filling.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the cobbler comes out clean.
  9. Serve warm, optionally with ice cream for an extra treat.

Notes

Best served warm. Can be enjoyed plain or with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
