Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup sugar, divided
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of sugar in a large bowl and set aside.
  3. Whisk together the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Add the peaches on top of the batter (do not stir).
  7. Bake for about 45 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Can substitute other fruits like apples or berries.
