Description

Create mouthwatering hamburgers at home with this simple recipe that ensures juicy, flavorful patties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ lb ground beef 80/20 (6 oz burgers)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Cheddar cheese slices (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the ground beef in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Gently mix the spices into the ground beef, being careful not to overmix.
  4. Form the meat into a large patty and place it on a cutting board.
  5. Cut the patty into 4 equal triangles, then shape each triangle into a hamburger patty, each weighing about 6 ounces.
  6. Press your thumb or the back of a spoon into the center of each patty to create an indent.
  7. Place the patties in the fridge until ready to cook.
  8. Preheat your grill to medium-high.
  9. Place the burgers on the hot grill, indent side up, and close the lid. Cook for about 5 minutes.
  10. Flip the burgers and cook for another 5 minutes or until the beef reaches 160 degrees.
  11. Serve hamburgers on your favorite bun along with your preferred toppings.
  12. Alternatively, heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat and cook the burger patties for about 3 minutes per side.

Notes

Use good quality ground beef for best results. Avoid pressing down on the burgers while cooking to retain juiciness.
