Description

A delightful tropical dessert with moist texture and rich guava flavor, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup guava puree
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the guava puree and vanilla extract.
  5. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before serving. Enjoy your tropical dessert!

Notes

Use fresh guava puree for the best flavor; however, canned puree works fine. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days, or refrigerate for up to a week.
