Description

A quick and easy guide to making the perfect creamy hot chocolate at home, with customizable options for everyone.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 12 tbsp granulated sugar (to taste)
  • 2 tbsp chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Measure milk, cocoa powder, sugar, and chocolate chips.
  2. Sift cocoa with sugar to break clumps.
  3. Warm milk over medium-low heat, adding dry mix while whisking.
  4. Add chocolate chips and whisk until melted and glossy.
  5. Stir in vanilla and salt, taste and adjust sugar.
  6. Use a frother for a silky top if desired.
