- 1–2 tbsp granulated sugar (to taste)
- 2 tbsp chocolate chips (optional)

- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Measure milk, cocoa powder, sugar, and chocolate chips.
- Sift cocoa with sugar to break clumps.
- Warm milk over medium-low heat, adding dry mix while whisking.
- Add chocolate chips and whisk until melted and glossy.
- Stir in vanilla and salt, taste and adjust sugar.
- Use a frother for a silky top if desired.
- Serve immediately, garnished with your choice of toppings.
