- 1 cup (130 g) glutinous rice flour
- 1/4 cup (50 g) sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) water
- Cornstarch for dusting
Instructions
- Mix the glutinous rice flour, sugar, and cocoa powder in a bowl.
- Gradually add water while stirring until the mixture is smooth.
- Pour the mixture into a greased microwave-safe dish.
- Microwave on high for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring every minute until the mochi is cooked and slightly firm.
- Allow to cool slightly.
- Dust your work surface with cornstarch, turn the mochi out, and cut into pieces.
- Dust the pieces with more cornstarch to prevent sticking.
Notes
Use glutinous rice flour for the right texture. Adjust cocoa powder for desired chocolate intensity. Dusting with cornstarch prevents sticking.
