A delightful treat that combines the unique texture of mochi with the rich flavor of chocolate. Quick and easy to make, it’s perfect for any dessert lover.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (130 g) glutinous rice flour
  • 1/4 cup (50 g) sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) water
  • Cornstarch for dusting

Instructions

  1. Mix the glutinous rice flour, sugar, and cocoa powder in a bowl.
  2. Gradually add water while stirring until the mixture is smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased microwave-safe dish.
  4. Microwave on high for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring every minute until the mochi is cooked and slightly firm.
  5. Allow to cool slightly.
  6. Dust your work surface with cornstarch, turn the mochi out, and cut into pieces.
  7. Dust the pieces with more cornstarch to prevent sticking.

Notes

Use glutinous rice flour for the right texture. Adjust cocoa powder for desired chocolate intensity. Dusting with cornstarch prevents sticking.
