A delightful blend of rich chocolate cake and smooth caramel mousse, perfect for special occasions.
Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
- Combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl. Mix well.
- Mash the ripe bananas in another bowl and add eggs and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients and pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely.
- Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Fold the whipped cream into caramel sauce and spread over the cooled cake.
- Top with additional caramel sauce and banana slices for garnish.
- Chill in the refrigerator before serving.
Notes
Use ripe bananas for better sweetness. Make sure to chill the mousse layer for a couple of hours before serving.
