Description
Moist and chocolatey bars made with ripe bananas, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas (about 400 g)
- 100 g (½ cup) unsalted butter, melted
- 150 g (¾ cup) brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 5 g (1 teaspoon) vanilla extract
- 200 g (1½ cups) all-purpose flour
- 5 g (1 teaspoon) baking soda
- 2 g (½ teaspoon) salt
- 150 g (1 cup) chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.
- Mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Stir in the melted butter, then mix in the brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Sprinkle the flour, baking soda, and salt over the wet mixture. Stop as soon as no dry flour is visible. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Spread it evenly. Bake for 22-25 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Remove the pan from the oven and let the bars cool for at least 10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
Avoid overmixing to prevent dense bars. You can prepare the batter overnight for baking in the morning.
