Ingredients

- 2 Medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and diced
- 2 tbsp Unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp Brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat.
- Add the diced apples and brown sugar to the skillet.
- Sauté until the apples are softened and the sugar is caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Roll out some pastry dough and cut into circles.
- Place a spoonful of the caramelized apple mixture in the center of each dough circle.
- Fold the dough over to create a pouch and seal the edges.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm, optionally drizzled with additional caramel sauce.
Notes
Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a delicious pairing. These treats can be made ahead of time and frozen.
