Description

Delightful treats of caramelized apples wrapped in flaky pastry, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and diced
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp Brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the diced apples and brown sugar to the skillet.
  4. Sauté until the apples are softened and the sugar is caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  6. Roll out some pastry dough and cut into circles.
  7. Place a spoonful of the caramelized apple mixture in the center of each dough circle.
  8. Fold the dough over to create a pouch and seal the edges.
  9. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm, optionally drizzled with additional caramel sauce.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a delicious pairing. These treats can be made ahead of time and frozen.
