Description

A visually appealing and flavorful appetizer combining creamy goat cheese with sweet and tangy blueberry balsamic reduction.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz Goat cheese
  • 4 oz Cream cheese
  • 12 tbsp Honey
  • Baguette or crostini
  • 1 cup Blueberries
  • 1/4 cup Balsamic vinegar
  • Olive oil
  • Fresh herbs (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Spread the crostini or sliced baguette on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil, then bake until golden and crispy (about 5-7 minutes).
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine goat cheese, cream cheese, and honey; season with salt and pepper, mixing until smooth.
  4. In a small saucepan, combine blueberries and balsamic vinegar over medium heat until the blueberries burst and the mixture thickens slightly (5-10 minutes).
  5. Spread the whipped cheese mixture over each toasted crostini.
  6. Top each crostini with the blueberry balsamic reduction.
  7. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve immediately.
  8. Enjoy your creation!

Notes

For a sweeter flavor, add more honey; for a tangier profile, adjust balsamic vinegar to taste.
