Description

A quick and easy dish that blends sweet and spicy flavors, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep all ingredients, chopping vegetables and chicken (5 minutes).
  2. Heat a large skillet or wok on medium-high heat; add olive oil and wait until shimmering (2 minutes).
  3. Add chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, stirring occasionally (5-7 minutes).
  4. Add minced garlic and grated ginger; sauté until fragrant (1 minute).
  5. In a bowl, mix sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes; pour over chicken and adjust seasoning (3 minutes).
  6. Stir in sliced bell pepper and broccoli florets, cooking until veggies soften (5-7 minutes).
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and fresh cilantro; serve hot (2 minutes).

Notes

Feel free to substitute chicken with tofu or shrimp for a different protein option. Adjust the sauce ingredients to taste for desired sweetness and spice.
