Tender beef short ribs infused with ginger, garlic, and mushrooms, perfectly braised for comforting flavor.
Ingredients

- 4 lbs beef short ribs
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 thumb-sized piece of ginger, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Season the beef short ribs with salt and pepper. In a Dutch oven, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Sear the ribs on all sides until browned.
- Remove ribs and set aside. In the same pot, add ginger and garlic, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, and beef broth. Bring to a simmer.
- Return ribs to the pot and add mushrooms. Cover and transfer to the oven.
- Braise for 3 hours until the meat is tender.
- Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and serve garnished with chopped green onions.
