Description

Tender beef short ribs infused with ginger, garlic, and mushrooms, perfectly braised for comforting flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 lbs beef short ribs
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 thumb-sized piece of ginger, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Season the beef short ribs with salt and pepper. In a Dutch oven, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Sear the ribs on all sides until browned.
  3. Remove ribs and set aside. In the same pot, add ginger and garlic, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, and beef broth. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Return ribs to the pot and add mushrooms. Cover and transfer to the oven.
  6. Braise for 3 hours until the meat is tender.
  7. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and serve garnished with chopped green onions.
