- 4–5 lbs beef brisket, trimmed
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Season brisket generously with salt and pepper.
- Place sliced onions and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Place the seasoned brisket on top of the onions and garlic.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cranberries, sliced mushrooms, beef broth, balsamic vinegar, and brown sugar. Stir well.
- Pour the mixture over the brisket in the slow cooker.
- Cover and set to low heat for 8-10 hours.
- Once cooked, remove the brisket and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
- Slice against the grain and serve with the sauce drizzled on top, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Use a meat thermometer to ensure perfect doneness; aim for an internal temperature of 190°F for tender brisket.
