Description
Quick and easy Salisbury Steak Meatballs in a rich mushroom gravy, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into approximately 12-15 meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, around 6-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and cook for 4-5 minutes until softened.
- Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and stir to combine. Gradually add beef broth while stirring to avoid lumps, then bring to a simmer.
- Stir in sour cream and return meatballs to the skillet. Cook for an additional 10 minutes, ensuring the meatballs are cooked through.
