Description

Quick and easy Salisbury Steak Meatballs in a rich mushroom gravy, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into approximately 12-15 meatballs.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, around 6-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and cook for 4-5 minutes until softened.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and stir to combine. Gradually add beef broth while stirring to avoid lumps, then bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in sour cream and return meatballs to the skillet. Cook for an additional 10 minutes, ensuring the meatballs are cooked through.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Pair with mashed potatoes or rice for a complete meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
