Description

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 4 tbsp butter for frosting
  • 11.5 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C) and line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment.
  2. Melt butter and whisk in sugar until glossy.
  3. Add eggs, vanilla, food coloring, and vinegar; mix until combined.
  4. Sift and fold in flour, cocoa, and salt until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into pan and bake for 25–30 minutes.
  6. Allow brownies to cool completely before frosting.
  7. For the frosting, beat cream cheese with butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  8. Spread frosting over cooled brownies and slice into squares.

Notes

Use full-fat cream cheese for the best frosting texture. You can also add nuts or chocolate chips for additional flavor.
