- 12 maraschino cherries, halved

- 1 egg
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking sheet.
- In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar and melted butter.
- Add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Press a halved maraschino cherry into the center of each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool before serving.
