A quick and easy Peruvian dish featuring tender flank steak, vibrant veggies, and crispy fries, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank steak, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar (apple cider or red wine)
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cups fries (frozen or homemade)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the sliced flank steak in soy sauce, vinegar, and minced garlic for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat a tablespoon of cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated steak and stir-fry until browned.
  3. Remove the steak from the pan and set it aside.
  4. In the same pan, add more oil if necessary and stir-fry the sliced onion and bell pepper until softened.
  5. Return the steak to the pan and mix well with the vegetables.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve the stir-fry hot over crispy fries, garnished with fresh cilantro.

Notes

For gluten-free, substitute soy sauce with tamari. For vegetarian, replace steak with tofu or mushrooms.
