Description

A decadent dish featuring tender short ribs smothered in a rich herb cream sauce, perfect for transforming any meal into a special occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 lbs short ribs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary, parsley)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Season short ribs with salt and pepper. Brown in olive oil in a large oven-safe pot.
  3. Sauté onion until soft, add garlic.
  4. Add broth and short ribs, simmer, then cover and transfer to the oven for 2 to 2.5 hours.
  5. Stir in cream and herbs, simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
  6. Serve over mashed potatoes or polenta.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream or cashew cream.
