- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 slices bacon
- 3 eggs
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp mustard
- Optional: ketchup
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Optional: chopped bell peppers or mushrooms
Instructions
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, then crumble and set aside (10 minutes).
- Brown the ground beef with onions and garlic in the remaining bacon grease until cooked through (7-10 minutes).
- Mix in the cream cheese until melted and well combined (5 minutes).
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, mustard, and optional ketchup, then stir in half of the cheddar and mozzarella (5 minutes).
- Spread the beef layer evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and pour the egg mixture on top, layering with remaining cheese (5 minutes).
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) until the center is set and the top is golden (25-30 minutes).
- Allow to cool slightly, then slice and serve (5 minutes).
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave. Consider pairing with a side salad or low-carb bread for a complete meal.
