A foolproof recipe to transform ordinary squid into an irresistible, restaurant-quality dish in minutes.
Ingredients

- 1 lb fresh squid tubes
- 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1–2 tsp red chili flakes (to taste)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 lemon, cut into wedges
Instructions
- Rinse squid and score the tops. Pat dry.
- Mix garlic, chili flakes, oil, and salt in a bowl.
- Heat a cast-iron skillet or grill pan on high. Add oil.
- Grill squid for 1.5–2.5 minutes per side until charred.
- Lower heat, sauté garlic and chili for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
- Toss grilled squid in the garlic-chili mixture, add parsley and squeeze lemon over.
- Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
Notes
Ensure squid is thoroughly dried before cooking for the best char. Adjust chili for desired spice level.
