Description

A gourmet filet steak recipe topped with a rich, creamy mushroom sauce and fresh herbs, ready in just 30 minutes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 filet steaks
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper
  • Butter for cooking

Instructions

  1. Season steak with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook steaks for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  4. Remove and let rest.
  5. Sauté mushrooms and garlic in the same skillet.
  6. Add cream, thyme, and parsley. Simmer until thickened.
  7. Serve sauce over steaks.
