Description

Delicious and festive waffles made with rich eggnog, perfect for holiday breakfasts or desserts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 3/4 cups eggnog
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. In a large bowl, combine melted butter, eggnog, and eggs. Stir until fully combined, then add sugar and mix again.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and nutmeg until evenly mixed.
  4. Pour the dry ingredients into the wet mixture and gently stir until just combined; some small lumps are okay.
  5. Lightly grease the waffle maker. Scoop batter onto the waffle maker and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions, usually about 4 minutes, until golden and crisp.
  6. Remove the waffles and serve warm with butter, maple syrup, and an extra sprinkle of nutmeg.

Notes

For vegan options, substitute eggnog with plant-based eggnog and use flax eggs. Additional spices can be added based on preference.
