- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, diced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Oil for frying
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, diced strawberries, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until well blended and smooth.
- Take a wonton wrapper and place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center. Moisten the edges with a little water and fold to create a triangle, sealing firmly.
- In a deep frying pan, heat enough oil to cover the bottoms of the wontons over medium heat, aiming for about 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully drop the wontons into the hot oil in small batches. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Avoid overcrowding the pan.
- Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried wontons and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
