- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 1/4 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack)
- Garlic salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9″ pie pan.
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet until cooked through; drain excess grease.
- Add taco seasoning to the beef, stir to combine, and spoon into the greased pie pan.
- In a bowl, combine heavy cream, eggs, salsa, 1 cup of cheese, garlic salt, and pepper.
- Pour the egg mixture over the beef in the pie pan and top with an additional 1/4 cup of cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
- Allow the pie to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Allow the pie to cool slightly before slicing to help it hold its shape.
