Description

A delicious and easy-to-make taco pie without the crust, packed with flavor and perfect for a low-carb lifestyle.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 1/4 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack)
  • Garlic salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9″ pie pan.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet until cooked through; drain excess grease.
  3. Add taco seasoning to the beef, stir to combine, and spoon into the greased pie pan.
  4. In a bowl, combine heavy cream, eggs, salsa, 1 cup of cheese, garlic salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the beef in the pie pan and top with an additional 1/4 cup of cheese.
  6. Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
  7. Allow the pie to cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Allow the pie to cool slightly before slicing to help it hold its shape.
