- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup ketchup (for topping)
Instructions
- Gather all your ingredients and dice the onion into ¼-inch pieces.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, bread crumbs, egg, Swiss cheese, milk, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and carefully place it into your pre-greased crockpot.
- Spread ketchup on top of the meatloaf to create a flavorful glaze.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until cooked through (160°F internal temperature).
- Once done, carefully remove the meatloaf and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Notes
For a lighter version, swap ground beef with ground turkey. Use fresh herbs for added flavor.
