Ingredients

- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, then drain the fat.
- Transfer the beef into the crockpot and add remaining ingredients.
- Stir to combine everything well.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
- Serve hot, garnished with cheese or sour cream if desired.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, substitute ground beef with lentils or more beans. Feel free to add more vegetables like bell peppers or corn.
