Description

A hearty and comforting chili made effortlessly in a crockpot, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, then drain the fat.
  2. Transfer the beef into the crockpot and add remaining ingredients.
  3. Stir to combine everything well.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with cheese or sour cream if desired.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, substitute ground beef with lentils or more beans. Feel free to add more vegetables like bell peppers or corn.
