Description
Delicious crispy shrimp coated in a sweet and savory honey glaze, ready in just 30 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients and tools. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels to ensure maximum crispiness. Set up your baking sheet lined with paper towels.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, salt, and pepper until well combined. Set aside.
- Place cornstarch in another bowl and toss the shrimp until thoroughly coated.
- In a frying pan over medium-high heat, add enough oil to cover the bottom (about 1 inch). Heat oil until it reaches approximately 350°F.
- Carefully add coated shrimp to the hot oil in a single layer. Fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Flip halfway through.
- Once cooked, remove shrimp from oil and drain on paper towels. Toss immediately in the honey mixture while still hot.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately.
Notes
Maintain proper oil temperature for the best results. Fry in batches to avoid steaming.
