Description

A quick and delicious side dish featuring crispy Brussels sprouts, savory bacon, and a creamy mustard sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts
  • 6 strips of bacon
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet and roast for 20-25 minutes.
  5. While the sprouts are roasting, cook the chopped bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, then crumble it.
  6. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic for 1 minute, then stir in heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice.
  7. Once the Brussels sprouts are done, toss them in the skillet with the sauce, then sprinkle the crispy bacon on top.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

For added crunch, flip the Brussels sprouts halfway through roasting.
