Description

A quick and comforting classic pasta bake with rich tomato sauce, heavy cream, and melty cheese.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces pasta (penne or ziti)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes and bring to a simmer.
  5. Add the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and season with salt and pepper. Stir until well combined.
  6. Mix the cooked pasta with the sauce and half of the mozzarella cheese.
  7. Transfer to a baking dish and top with remaining mozzarella.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
  9. Remove from oven, garnish with fresh basil, and serve.

Notes

Can be personalized with vegetables or protein for added nutrition.
