Description
Indulgent Chocolate Brownie Trifle with Whipped Cream Delight
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box brownie mix (or homemade brownies)
- 2 cups heavy cream (substitute with whipped coconut cream for dairy-free option)
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- chocolate shavings or chips
- fresh berries (like strawberries or raspberries)
- crushed nuts (optional, like almonds or pistachios)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven according to the brownie mix instructions, typically around 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix with the required eggs, oil, and water. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting into cubes.
- In a chilled mixing bowl, pour in 2 cups of heavy cream. Add 1/4 cup of powdered sugar and a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Whip on medium-high speed for about 3-5 minutes until soft peaks form.
- Once cooled, cut the brownies into bite-sized cubes about 1-inch in size to ease layering.
- In a trifle dish or individual glasses, start with half of the brownie cubes as the base layer.
- Spread half of the whipped cream over the brownie layer evenly.
- Sprinkle half of the fresh berries and any crushed nuts over the whipped cream layer.
- Repeat with the remaining brownie cubes, followed by the rest of the whipped cream, then the remaining berries and nuts on top.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings or chips if desired. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
