Description

Indulgent Chocolate Brownie Trifle with Whipped Cream Delight

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box brownie mix (or homemade brownies)
  • 2 cups heavy cream (substitute with whipped coconut cream for dairy-free option)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • chocolate shavings or chips
  • fresh berries (like strawberries or raspberries)
  • crushed nuts (optional, like almonds or pistachios)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven according to the brownie mix instructions, typically around 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix with the required eggs, oil, and water. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting into cubes.
  3. In a chilled mixing bowl, pour in 2 cups of heavy cream. Add 1/4 cup of powdered sugar and a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Whip on medium-high speed for about 3-5 minutes until soft peaks form.
  4. Once cooled, cut the brownies into bite-sized cubes about 1-inch in size to ease layering.
  5. In a trifle dish or individual glasses, start with half of the brownie cubes as the base layer.
  6. Spread half of the whipped cream over the brownie layer evenly.
  7. Sprinkle half of the fresh berries and any crushed nuts over the whipped cream layer.
  8. Repeat with the remaining brownie cubes, followed by the rest of the whipped cream, then the remaining berries and nuts on top.
  9. Garnish with chocolate shavings or chips if desired. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
