Description

A quick and comforting dish featuring chicken breasts in a creamy, cheesy mushroom sauce, all cooked in one skillet for minimal cleanup.


Ingredients

  • 2 Chicken Breasts, Boneless and skinless
  • 1 Cup Sliced Mushrooms
  • 1 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/2 Cup Diced Onions
  • 2 Cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1 Cup Chicken Broth
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Parsley for Garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add onions and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  4. Add mushrooms and cook until soft.
  5. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then place them in the skillet.
  6. Pour chicken broth over chicken and mushrooms.
  7. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  8. Cover and let simmer for about 10 minutes, then transfer to the oven.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until chicken is fully cooked.
  10. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

For a crispy top, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end of baking.
