Description

Golden, crispy morsels filled with creamy mashed potatoes and melted cheese, perfect for appetizers or family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine mashed potatoes, shredded cheese, chopped green onions, egg, salt, and pepper.
  2. Using your hands, form small puffs about the size of a golf ball.
  3. Roll each puff in breadcrumbs until evenly coated.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Fry the puffs in batches, cooking for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
  6. Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, incorporate garlic powder or spices into the mixture. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
