Description

Crispy, golden-brown air fryer fried pickles that are a healthier twist on a classic appetizer, ready in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 jar dill pickles, sliced
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Slice pickles and set aside.
  2. Prepare the breading stations: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and the last with a mixture of cornmeal, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. Coat each pickle slice first in flour, then in the egg, and finally in the cornmeal mixture.
  4. Arrange the breaded pickles in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are spaced evenly.
  5. Lightly spray the pickles with cooking spray and air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For a customizable experience, try both sweet and spicy pickles or add spices to the coating as desired.
