Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups chopped broccoli
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and chop broccoli into small florets. Pulse in a food processor until pieces are small but not mushy.
  2. In a bowl, combine broccoli, cheddar, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and egg. Stir until cohesive.
  3. Scoop and shape into 1-1.5 inch balls or small patties.
  4. Chill formed poppers in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease the basket.
  6. Arrange poppers in a single layer and air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  7. Remove and let cool slightly before serving with your choice of dipping sauces.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add chopped jalapeños or a pinch of cayenne. You can also experiment with different cheeses and breading options.
